Meet Your Doctor

Dr. Trey Miller, DDS, FAGD, LVIF serves patients across the

Tri-State area of Texas, Oklahoma, and Eastern New Mexico.

DR. TREY MILLER, DDS, FAGD, LVIF is a proud Amarillo native, so the Panhandle is very near to his heart. He graduated as Valedictorian of his high school class in Bushland. He then enrolled at Texas Tech University on academic scholarship, where he was active in both the College of Arts & Sciences as well as the Honors College. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry in only 3 years.

He attended The University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston, where he had the opportunity to learn the latest techniques in dentistry and receive training using advanced technology such as dental lasers and digital scanning and case planning. Upon completion, he also received the highest award given in dental training at UT in the field of operative dentistry.

Recognizing early on that dental school was only a foundation, and that there was still so much more to learn, Dr. Miller pursued rigorous additional training at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI). He has obtained ‘Fellowship’ status (LVIF) at LVI, as recognition of being one of the top cosmetic restorative and TMJ/sleep apnea dentists in the country. Dr. Miller has also completed training at the world-renowned Kois Center for Dentistry in Seattle, WA. The Kois Center is an academic and research institution that focuses on advanced training in esthetics, implants, and advanced restorative dentistry. As a patient of our practice, you will experience the forefront of up-to-date dentistry, with experience in the latest developments in neuromuscular and cosmetic restorative dentistry. Dr. Miller specializes in full mouth rehabilitation, cosmetic smile makeovers, and TMJ/TMD (jaw joint pain & dysfunction) treatment, and also treats sleep apnea/snoring with oral appliance therapy and laser therapy.

Dr. Miller also has an additional Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. Only the top 6% of dentists in the United States by continuing education hours are eligible for this Fellowship status. Dr. Miller has also been recently named a Texas “Super Dentist” by Texas Monthly magazine, which includes the top 10% of Texas dentists selected by peer nominations, and a review of credentials and the amount of advanced continuing education completed.

Dr. Miller’s passion for technology will be evident from your very first visit with us. We are a fully digital office with modern and precise digital treatment planning workflows. We are the only office in the area with all the technology under one roof to comprehensively digitally diagnose complex jaw problems using 3-D jaw tracking, computerized EMG muscle activity analysis, CBCT (3-D facial and skeletal imaging), and digital intraoral scanning (which is much more accurate than the older method of traditional impressions). This objective and highly accurate scientific diagnosis and treatment planning ability leads to the best possible outcomes for our patients undergoing TMJ therapy or functional restorative dental treatments and cosmetic smile makeovers.

Dr. Miller is a leader within the local dental community as well. As President of the Panhandle District Dental Society, he has experience representing all of the dentists practicing in the Texas Panhandle region to the Texas Dental Association in Austin. He also serves on the TDA Peer Review Committee based out of Austin. He is active in the Panhandle SPEAR Study Club and Panhandle Christian Dental Society. Outside the office, Dr. Miller enjoys volunteering and serving the community. He serves as a part-time Clinical Instructor/Supervising Dentist at the Amarillo College Dental Hygiene Program, and you can regularly find him participating in dental “Mission of Mercy” and “Give Kids a Smile” events. He also mentors high school students with an interest in the field of dentistry through the Amarillo Rotary Mentor program. He and his wife, Rachel, a local attorney, actively attend Hillside Christian Church.

HEAR FROM OUR PATIENTS

"Today marked the final step of 11 months worth of meticulously planned dental reconstruction by Dr. Trey Miller at Advanced Dentistry in Amarillo. Last January I started the search for the perfect dental professional to achieve results to meet my expectations. What I didn’t know, was how damaged my Temporomandibular Joint was. In simple terms, Dr. Miller and his staff were able to help me with all of my issues, I went in with neck pain, headaches, mild sleep apnea, and jaw issues, and came out with a world of relief, bite stability, better sleep, and can I mention, a more beautiful set of teeth than I thought possible! I consider Trey a friend, and am very thankful to have had the opportunity to work with him on this project. It turned out amazing!"
